The goal of this meme (pronounced as meem, as I was told) is to feel good about yourself. I’ll enumerate certain things that I think I’m good with in random order. :) Expound if you must and extend your feel-good list by adding feel-betters, feel-bests, wish-I’ll-be-good-withs and all that crap.

  • I’m good with names (and surnames as well). I’m definitely good with memorizing those of my classmates, even online friends, bloggers, websites, and professors and teachers way back first grade and restaurants and streets and countries and capitals (and when I was a child: plate numbers). Let’s see. My first grade adviser would be Ms. Fatima(?) Calderon Famisan. Not sure with the Fatima but I’m positive with her middle and last name anyway. Two out of three! Yay!
  • I‘m good with jokes. I’m pretty sure I inherited this from my Dad since he’s quite a joker (he masters both on intellectual and green jokes). Only, I throw jokes personally, not online. And I joke using the dialect - heck it’s hard to even understand English jokes (though I watch Friends and Two and a Half Men a lot back then, I don’t seem to carry their jokes on my daily life. Why oh why?).
  • I hope I’ll be better with words. Recently I learned four words: swig (verb; to drink), engender (originate, produce, procreate) and impeccable (adjective; flawless). I dunno, it makes me feel good (not really smart) to know words (especially the simpler ones). I have no idea why; maybe I’m a word whore or something.
  • I’m good with listening to second voices. Especially while listening on my IPod, I tend to listen to everything than the vocals just to freshen up every bit of the song. Maybe it also gets my attention since I was once a member of a choir (yes, a choir for two and a half years). And maybe I also developed that skill of dissecting a song’s vocals. Or maybe not? I’m not pretty sure whether it’s my mind singing or the voice really exists in the song. FREAKY, like I have this professional voice inside my head.
  • I hope I’ll do better with recalling conversations. I tend to uhh (invent is not the right term) replace words whenever I recall conversations, and I usually end up killing the exact meaning since I alter bits of it. But I think this has nothing to do with me anymore - this problem might just be universal.
  • I‘m at my best when I’m such a snob. I feel good with snobbing people I know, though I end up feeling guilty about not even raising both my eyebrows whenever they look at me (just so for them to know that I can still recall them). Maybe I feel good with snobbing people since I don’t want much attention (?). Get it? I don’t, either.
  • I’m good with lyrics. I have this buddy who once remarked me as someone who’s really good with lyrics (or maybe he just really suck at it). I’m not really sure about this, though, since I’m sure he sucks at it. LOL.
  • I don’t have anything related to contortion or something body-related (I know someone who’s good with dislocating his left arm from his shoulders: I saw him doing it and I decided not to be friends with him anymore, seriously, he’s freaky with his left arm hanging lower than the usual) except that I’m good with winking on pictures. I think I got the habit when I was a kid. Not that I’m telling you that I LOOK GOOD when I wink, I’m just good at winking. Uh-huh.
  • I hope I’ll do better in playing card games. I suck at virtually everything from Poker to Tong-Its to Heart Attack and every goddam card game invented by probably one of the lousiest guys in the world.
  • I hope I’ll eat better - without hiccuping. That’s one thing I hate about myself: when I eat, I would always have a drink (and I don’t drink softdrinks, just water) by my side since I’m a fast eater and I tend to stuff myself with spoonfuls of food. DON’T GET ME WRONG: I chew my food; it’s just that I really eat with haste like every meal’s a Tour de France.

OH WAIT. I got myself registered for Wordcamp Philippines 2008. YEY. It’s something to look forward to: I mean, Matt Mullenweg is there! Organized by Mindanao Bloggers, this event will be held on a SATURDAY (September 6, 2008, thank goodness) at the College of St. Benilde. Should I ask Ian to meet me at the nearest MRT station? LOL.

Anyway. The sponsors:

Post header print-screened from the Wordcamp Philippines 2008 website. Objections and harsh comments are welcome if ever what I did is illegal. And if you wanna register, go to their website. It’d be so cool if we’re friends.
