I’ve stripped myself from my allowance for an entire week just to give way to our lifetime dream in the apartment: an Internet connection. At first, we don’t really care if it’s decent or slow as long as it’s never intermittent. Now, my roommates are complaining; they say it’s slow, and that we should have subscribed with the much expensive plans (512 kbps and all). Me? I don’t complain much. I’m used to not having any Internet at all, and maybe these guys are just asking too much.
So far I’m downloading four movies through uTorrent: Tony Takitani, Adventureland, Teeth and Alphaville. Ho-hum.

I’ve read Tony Takitani and quite curious about the movie. I-rate mo naman yun after you watch it. :D
can’t wait to hear what you think about tony takitani. i’ve watched it already, and for now, i’ll reserve my thoughts to myself.
good taste in movies!! i hvnt seen tony takitani.. no clue at all :|
@Eon: ENVY. You’ve watched it in Diliman!? :O
@Naxcz: Sure, sure!
@Magikero: It’s a Haruki Murakami short story (you can read it in his short story collection entitled “Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman”).
Tony Takitani was shown in this year’s Eiga Sai(?). I haven’t seen it though. Ditto too to Adventureland. I’ve seen Teeth. It was ok. Downloaded Teeth a few months back but haven’t had the time to watch it.
Goody! :) And oh, I watched Teeth. It’s..uhm..unique, as it’s a horror movie that had me laughing. LOL.
Internet nationwide was slow the past few days, but it’s fine here in my home. Dunno if that’s the case in your apartment ’til now.
And, well, I just hope you will not get used to surf the Web a lot like you did way back high school. :P
DILNET here in UPD is still fast…..and restricted… O_O
downloading torrent files hugs the bandwidth of your ‘net connection. it’s probably one of the reasons why your roomies complain. and yeah i’ve heard quite a lot of people in fb are complaining ’bout their net connections…
im just wondering what’s your’net provider? saka pahingi ng kopya ng tony takitani.
The short story’s better, but the film’s still nice — very languid and serene.
woah. You’re downloading thru torrent with a slow internet connection? Man, that may have taken you forever to finish downloading.
congrats to you! when my parents finally give in to my request of a laptop (hopefully, a delicious macbook), I’m also planning to get my own internet. HAHA. at least the prepaid one.
@Jmar: Ha! A Macbook. It’s pricey but it’s cool but.. anyway. Hope you get it asap.
@Nhil: Not really. Alphaville’s running fast–it depends on the seeds anyway–and it’s 93 percent and counting. :)
@Poli: Serene? The more I’m wanting to watch the movie.
@Dani: My ISP is Kwiknet.
@Lei: Fast but restricted? Isn’t that bad news?
Whutda! Kwiknet rin net namin last time. Sobrang bagal niyan brod! As in. Lagi pang napuputol. Strict pa silang ng bongga sa pagbayad. Anyhoo.
